(An All About Me/ Getting to Know You Activity)
One week this year, each child will be featured as our “Sailor of the Week”. This wonderful activity is planned to help us get to know each other by sharing our special qualities and favorite things. Another benefit of this activity is allowing students to practice sharing with and listening to one another which enhances their listening and speaking skills.
I will send home an “All About ____” Booklet. Please help your child with this activity. It is meant to be a family project. Students are encouraged to do their best coloring job, be creative, and bring any pictures they’d like to share (including themselves and/or family). Feel free to add stickers, glitter, or any other decorations to make it stand out when we hang it up in the classroom for the entire week!
Please return on the Monday following the date it is placed in your child’s homework pocket of their binder. I will return it back to you the following Monday. My wish is that you find this family project enjoyable. I know we will benefit and have fun getting to know your child through this activity.
